I am very happy with this great magnetic screen door. Works as described, if not better. Going through the door is easy, but what I really like is how the door closes on its own. No more kids or pets going in and out, leaving the door open. In my case I didn’t want to use the double stick tape and couldn’t use the thumbtacks that came with it, I think the frame is too hard for the thumbtacks, and they bent when I tried to push them in. It’s either that or I don’t know how to use a thumbtack. I finished drilling a small holes in the frame for the screws. Yes, it is very stable, and there is no chance of it falling off. Use a washer around the screw for extra support. The installation of magnetic screen door looks clean and professional. If the screen is a bit too big for the frame, the ends can be folded back on themselves. Setting the outer edges back an inch on each side wasn’t a big deal. Once connected, you can’even say. The screen layout isn’t too big to let bugs in or too small, so you can’t see it, that’s perfect in my opinion.Be very careful when going over the door with a sharp object and do not pinch the material. I was about to do this job, and it could have made a nice tear in the fabric, but I saw what was going to happen and adjusted it.I bought this thing cheaply for my front door so I could keep it open on sunny days and keep the bugs out. The dogs also like to sunbathe in the front area and can easily get in and out. It took you a few minutes to learn how to use it. I removed some paint from the door frame by removing the strip when I realized I had it in the incorrect place. I don’t know how long they last, but I’ve had them for about 3 weeks, and we use them a lot. In the fall, to make them durable, uninstall it not to replace it in the spring and summer. They do what they say they should do. But if you have some metal around the door, it will stick to it.I have two doors that are actually made of metal,, so sometimes I have must remove them because they are attached to the door. When you put them on, you have someone looking down. You want them just to kiss the ground and not be too high as insects will enter from below.Especially by yourself, it’s actually not easy to install, but if you take some time, you won’t have much trouble. The adhesive held up very well, as did the Velcro, most in wind conditions. Best of all, it did its job of keeping bugs out when the back door was opened to air out a stuffy house and create a cross breeze. I’ve been using this in my house for over a year, I really like it opens great to a balcony. I didn’t actually walk past it very often, so I cannot say how much it would stay in good condition over the time. When I moved in, it still looked like new. Also, because the owner wanted me to remove it before I left, I could see what sort of damage removing the adhesive from the painted exterior door frame could cause. To my surprise, the color didn’t come off. I advise you do two things before installing this magnetic screen door, read the instructions carefully. Top to bottom,, so you don’t have too much or too little door hardware at the bottom. Doing these two things will install it easily and quickly. When you do this, it’s much easier to have a flat surface to lay down and attach the Velcro. Some door openings can’t accommodate this tape on all sides due to the configuration of the door, but I found the top and one side worked perfectly, and I was able to slide the storm door anywhere I wanted, as I continued with it, flying to shield things and let air in. Since then, this gate has easily withstood heavy monsoon rains and very strong winds. The magnetic strip that holds the two pieces together, not too tight and not too loose, just perfect. A few tries before you find that it goes in and out at will and reattaches itself. I installed a magnetic screen door in less than 18 minutes.
